Lizzy O Sullivan‎ I first met Elise at a pet rat show in New Westminster. I think she was about 10 at the time. She had just adopted her first pair of baby rats from me. Elise had so much fun showing her rats that day and they won many ribbons. I was trying to find a photo from that day but had no luck, even though I know there were many taken. Elise really loved her rats and adopted several more from me over the years. I have a lovely memory of our last visit in April, when she was back at Children's for treatment and came to a party at my home along with her mom. I was so impressed with how grown up she was, how confident and out going she was, and how comfortably she fit in with the gathering of fellow pet rat lovers. She was even looking well that day, although Laurel privately confided that this was not actually the case. I am thankful to have been given this and many other wonderful memories to cherish. Elise will be sadly missed by many of us in the pet rat community.
