- from Rosanne Day‎ [This one is a bit of a conversation from Facebook] To read this broke our hearts and we felt so sorry for her family and everyone else who knew her at all. Then it hit that this was and is about Elise. She is a miracle warrior that fought so hard to stay with her family and touched so many others along her way. She went far beyond the limits to stay as long as she could. She hurt and she was tired and will be missed. It still breaks our heart but we don't feel sorry we got in on a small piece of her life, we are honored. - reply from Laurel Your family and your gifts brought her a great deal of pleasure. The completed Lego Haunted House was the first piece to come into her new bedroom after the Make A Wish people were done with it. She and her dad had so much fun building it the last time we stayed at Ronald McDonald House. - reply from Rosanne Day It means the world to us to hear that we brought some fun into the medical misery Elise went through. Only regret was that the fun part was not more. Something just came to me as I wrote this and I am not sure where from but I just saw Elise, with a huge smile, riding a beautiful white unicorn playing with dragons She was using a secret weapon to bring them down. She was throwing Lego on the ground and of course, as we all know, when the dragons stepped on it they were at her mercy. Hugs to you Laurel and family.
